Open Water Swimming
Season 2008-2009 saw the Blue Fin Coaches embark on an addition to the usual program – Open Water Swimming. To familiarise swimmers with the varying conditions encountered in open water swimming a training program led by Coach Josh Rix began in late September 2008 for about six weeks. We then went onto participate in the Hazelwood Open Water Meet and the Engine Open Water Swim Series.
